BASIC SERIES CONSOLE Bug ‘65-79 Sedan and Convertible, w/o heater cutout TMI Basic Series Center Console, 1965 and Later VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, THING, and Type 3, 25-1109 is an inexpensive molded Black ABS Plastic Floor Console which includes (2) large Storage Trays, (2) Coin Holders, (2) Cup Holders, and a Black Leatherette Shift Boot. This is a little flimsy, but it firms up once you screw it to the tunnel as it's designed. If you just throw it down on the tunnel you could have problems! Some folks tape the HOOK side of VELCRO to the bottom of this console, and it grabs the floor carpet nicely. This model only fits tunnels that have the heater control levers back near the emergency brake handle base, the OTHER model is notched to fit the heater control knob up front near the shifter base. This console limits the space between the brake pedal and the tunnel, we do not recommend this if you have large feet (size 11+). This is a decent, inexpensive console, giving you a convenient place to put stuff in your car so they don't get lost (loose change, CDs, keys, etc).
